How ratings work
Teams are rated using our HDR power rating system, which estimates true strength on a neutral court.
What drives projections

How odds are calculated
Each matchup is simulated using rating differentials to generate win probabilities. Tournament odds are derived by advancing teams through the bracket in thousands of simulations.
How our bracket works
Our bracket uses a weighted blend of our team ratings, odds from NCAAgamesim.com, and ESPN matchup odds, if available, to output probabilities for each team winning a game, and the likelier team advances.
